I have a bottle of Adox Adotech developer (50ml) that I used 10ml of to develop one roll of Adox CMS 20 this summer.

I shot two rolls of Adox CMS 20 this christmas, and I'm unsure if the developer will still be OK.

States that once opened, the developer will oxidise after 6 weeks.

I have got 2 more rolls of CMS 20, so I could shoot one tomorrow to test if the developer is still OK, but that would seem like a waste if its certain that the developer is dead.

I have Foma R09, Foma Fomadon Excel, Paterson Aculux3 and HC110 as alternatives. I'm guessing the R09 will be my best bet?

On a side note; does anybody know what a suitable dev time would be for Efke 25 in Aculux3?

Thanks

Francis

<Once opened, Adox Adotech Developer will last only 6 weeks before oxidizing.
It is recommended to add an equal amount of water to developer that is removed from the bottle to preserve the developer activity.

With every following film being developed, the amount of developer concentrate used needs to be increased accordingly.

Example to make 250 ml of final working solution (small tank):
first film 10ml of concentrate plus 240 ml of water,
second film 12.5 ml plus 237.50 of water,
third film 16.5 ml plus 233.50 of water,
fourth film 25 ml plus 225 ml of water,
last film all of the remaining diluted concentrate plus 200 ml of water.

This will extend the developer life to 12 months.
