Sometimes Adorama has crazy deals on short dated/out dated films that the other sellers do not. A couple of years ago they sold just outdated Fuji C200 36 exp for $1.49 a roll. I bought 100 rolls, I wish I bought more.

Adorama is still selling at a discount, not deal of the day price, but pretty good at $8 for 120 and $7 for 135. It's just a matter of time before the rest of short dated stuff goes on discount, sold to another retailer, or turns into recently expired for discount. Since the 50% off precedence has been set, I'm just going to wait and see what the other US retailers do.

it would be interesting to see the sales numbers for like the last 4 months up to the deal day and then how many rolls were sold at the sale price and then how many after. you are right, as we get closer to 11/21 I expect to see theprice slowly drop. I have no issues freezing film for 10+ years so if the price is right, like it was on the sale day, then I will buy some.

looks like fuji must have done 1 master roll and rolled all of it to give a small window exp date for all the rolls. will they do another master roll or is it 1 and done (just me thinking out loud)?

I bought into that one too. BH still has some short dated Velvia 50 in 135 at 25% off in stock, the 120 sold out 2-3 weeks ago. My best short dated pickup with a bunch of 400h from Unique, before the announcement.

Edit: switch 135 and 120.

My shipment of five rolls arrived yesterday with a 12/21 expiration date. I’ll probably freeze what I don’t use.

I would not think it'd a one-and-done scenario. Fuji must've put a sizable amount of research, design, and development in to the new iteration of Acros, in addition to sourcing new materials. I doubt they'd be able to recoup that investment on one master roll.

I just bought a couple of rolls of Acros II from Adorama at $7.99/roll. I had been wanting to try it, but couldn't see paying 50% more than what I usually pay for Ilford or Kodak B&W film.

Interestingly, Adorama offered free shipping (I believe UPS ground 7–10 days) even on such a small order. Made it an offer I couldn't refuse.

Thanks for the heads-up on this deal!

Another option: a vendor called Continentalphoto sells Acros, Tri-X, Delta 100, and other film on eBay. I bought some Acros in 135 size at about $8/roll. It came in only a few days and is dated 10/2021.

Continental also sells via Walmart at a slightly higher price. I do not know if they ship to Canada or other countries.

I received my order today, expiration date is 10/21. I wanted to add that mine was 35mm.

i got my film yesterday, 120, with 12/21 exp date. of course they shorted me 2 rolls on my order. now its gonna be like pulling teeth to get them. I found it funny that I ordered 15 rolls and all were single boxes. Why no pro packs?

Just checked the 120 I bought from Mikes Camera in Colorado, expires 12/21. My 35mm came in 10 pack bricks shipped in a bubble wrap envelope so a couple boxes were crushed a little. It actually sunny here in the Sunset so maybe I'll go shoot a roll. We've had a lot of fog this summer.

That's almost $9 Canadian... $16 for a 35 roll up here. Once I tack on shipping though, it works out to be about the same... but with the possibility of Canadian Customs X-raying the crap out of it!
Andy, if you want to arrange a time and place, I could maybe toss a few rolls across with a chuck-it stick. Or maybe a slingshot.

Its a shame Freestyle or B&H doesn't offer deals like this. I've been buying film from B&H lately, since if you spend $100 US, they offer you free shipping. And you also have the option to pay duty taxes right away instead of when it crosses the border. Freestyle wants major bucks for shipping charges, so B&H is the better deal. And B&H's shipping arrives here across the continent and border in 2 days flat.

Looks like Freestyle has updated their website. They are selling specifically labeled short dated at $9.39 (135) and $10.79 (120) and they are listing Nov 29 as restock date for new stuff.

I ordered some -- good price. Will advise the expiration date when it arrives. I'm betting 12.2021, same as what I got when it first came out. The complaints about cost were vociferous back then, which must have had an impact on demand. We'll see.
Received now. I was wrong. The rolls shipped from Adorama carry an expiration date of 10.2021, even sooner than what B&H sold me last year when the product was first introduced. Unless Fuji is selling a lot of this film in Japan, that doesn't bode well for continued production.
