I have 10 rolls of the original Acros with expiration in 2019 or early 2020. It is fine. B&W film that is stored in the freezer is good for years, sometimes decades (as per the Panatomic-X I am still using).@destroya Thanks for posting this! I went ahead & ordered a few more rolls. I love it for pinhole shots due to its mystical reciprocity properties.
Hopefully they have plans to continue this stock. The 12/21 Exp is not a big deal if stored in the fridge or freezer - it should be good for a while no?
Absolutely. My comment wasn't made to suggest otherwise. Rather, I was speculating that consumer resistance to the film's price might have been so high that Fujifilm/HARMAN haven't yet needed to manufacture more after the initial batch....The 12/21 Exp is not a big deal if stored in the fridge or freezer - it should be good for a while no?
Thanks for the tip! Bought some.
I bought some of 120 Acros II short after introduction and I bought some rolls earlier this year, from Fotoimpex. One of Europe's biggest retailers in film. I also noticed that the expiry dates on both boxes were the same, so in medium format they most likely did only one production run so farAbsolutely. My comment wasn't made to suggest otherwise. Hmm mine is 10/21 or 11/21 I believe...120 is dated 12/2021
I bought 10 rolls in early August when I saw a seller on Taobao start selling it for CNY 34 (or USD 5.28) per roll. Now, I'm seeing more sellers sell at the same price or lower. Hopefully, other online retailers like Fotoimpex and Yodobashi will follow suit.
Short dated stuff sells cheaper and I'm guessing this is a response to a lot of stock out there that did not sell at the $12+ range. Unfortunately, if I were Fuji and this was a single run, I might be reluctant to do a second run, if it only sells at $1 more than the "budget" films. Because of this and how much I like the first version, I will be purchasing more, at this price.

Fotoimpex is sticking of EUR 9.49 ex VAT a roll with exp of 11/2021. Yodobashi is sticking to JPY 1040 incl VAT. BH Photo is at USD 11.99 a roll.
I think they are all of the same expiration date. I doubt the Taobao sellers are selling at a loss. I doubt Fuji lost money.
