That's almost $9 Canadian... $16 for a 35 roll up here. Once I tack on shipping though, it works out to be about the same... but with the possibility of Canadian Customs X-raying the crap out of it!

I ordered some -- good price. Will advise the expiration date when it arrives. I'm betting 12.2021, same as what I got when it first came out. The complaints about cost were vociferous back then, which must have had an impact on demand. We'll see.

@destroya Thanks for posting this! I went ahead & ordered a few more rolls. I love it for pinhole shots due to its mystical reciprocity properties.
Hopefully they have plans to continue this stock. The 12/21 Exp is not a big deal if stored in the fridge or freezer - it should be good for a while no?

I have 10 rolls of the original Acros with expiration in 2019 or early 2020. It is fine. B&W film that is stored in the freezer is good for years, sometimes decades (as per the Panatomic-X I am still using).

I have 70 rolls of 120 Acros-1, that expired last year. My wife brought it over from Japan as Fuji was discontinuing it. Been in the freezer since 2018. Great stuff!

Just found 400 ft original Acros (Legacy Pro 100), 100 ft Neopan 400 (Legacy Pro 400), and 15 rolls of Acros 120 in my freezer. Superb films! Such a pity that they were gone!

Absolutely. My comment wasn't made to suggest otherwise. Rather, I was speculating that consumer resistance to the film's price might have been so high that Fujifilm/HARMAN haven't yet needed to manufacture more after the initial batch.

I bought a couple rolls at the deal of the day price. With the price increase of Delta 100, if Acros price stays the same, I"ll buy it more often. With price increases of film, I have been reconsidering what film I want to buy. Also didn't realize you can get free shipping on small orders of some things from Adorama. I imagine it won't be fast shipping but I have been waiting until I had $50 worth of stuff I needed, at least and ordering from B&H.

Missed it! darn it. But thanks for the heads up!

I've shot one roll of Acros so far and liked it.Definitely would prefer shoot it at $6.99 vs the $12 it is now. Oh well, maybe a blessing in disguise. My refrigerator is pretty full of film at the moment.

I bought some of 120 Acros II short after introduction and I bought some rolls earlier this year, from Fotoimpex. One of Europe's biggest retailers in film. I also noticed that the expiry dates on both boxes were the same, so in medium format they most likely did only one production run so far

I picked up a few rolls of each. 120 is dated 12/2021, the same date as some earlier stock I picked up. The 135 is dated 10/2021. Hopefully other retailers take note and also discount their short dated stock and more hopefully, this is not a single run and done.

I bought 10 rolls in early August when I saw a seller on Taobao start selling it for CNY 34 (or USD 5.28) per roll. Now, I'm seeing more sellers sell at the same price or lower. Hopefully, other online retailers like Fotoimpex and Yodobashi will follow suit.

What!! How can this be when as we know all film makers charge fair prices from the outset, simply covering their costs with a small margin for profit? Maybe it is the dreaded distribution agents who have been able to revise their charges, thus explaining the appreciable drop in price:smile:

Short dated stuff sells cheaper and I'm guessing this is a response to a lot of stock out there that did not sell at the $12+ range. Unfortunately, if I were Fuji and this was a single run, I might be reluctant to do a second run, if it only sells at $1 more than the "budget" films. Because of this and how much I like the first version, I will be purchasing more, at this price.

That's what happens when you price a replacement product at nearly double the original. But Fuji has nothing on Kodak's E100 prices .

Fotoimpex is sticking of EUR 9.49 ex VAT a roll with exp of 11/2021. Yodobashi is sticking to JPY 1040 incl VAT. BH Photo is at USD 11.99 a roll.

I think they are all of the same expiration date. I doubt the Taobao sellers are selling at a loss. I doubt Fuji lost money.

Adorama is still selling at a discount, not deal of the day price, but pretty good at $8 for 120 and $7 for 135. It's just a matter of time before the rest of short dated stuff goes on discount, sold to another retailer, or turns into recently expired for discount. Since the 50% off precedence has been set, I'm just going to wait and see what the other US retailers do.
