Next on my repair list is a Canon 58mm f1.2 FL

The aperture blades wont move at all. The lever moves, but not the blades.
I hope it is just a matter of removing the oil from the blades.
Does anyone have a recommended solvent to use for cleaning the blades?

Coleman lantern fuel. It doesn't leave as much residue as lighter fluid.

Hopefully there is just a link somewhere that has become disconnected. Sounds like it. It is a loverly lens, as are the later 55mm 1.2 FD lenses.

It's just like a leaf shutter that's stuck, It's like a Ferrari with carbon on the valves. Oil on the blades.
