I was watching a chemistry video on YouTube and saw where the chemist used small polomer enclosed self-adhesive strips which can be temperature controlled, by an enclosed digital controller unit and, in this case, used with a magnetic stirrer.

I have a non-heated stirrer, that I built some years back, modeled on a common beer makers stirrer, which I may just use these on, for mixing chemicals.

I have an Anchor four quart measurement cup, that I'd like to apply these to, but washing up would preclude, but these 5w and higher, heaters can fit on a tile, glass or metal plate easily.

The heater strips have various max heat settings, with about 150°c, to work with.

Go search for polomer heat self-adhesive on Amazon.com and the results should include a few controllers.

Having a beaker with a wire permanently attached to it seems inconvenient to me. Also, cleaning will be an issue, and I doubt the adhesive will survive being wetted over and over again.

Stirrers with thermostatic heating have become much cheaper over the years; I'd sooner look into getting one of those. Although honestly I get by just fine with my old non-heated stirrer. The limited number of times any heating is necessary I just pre-heat the solution, mix it with hot instead of cold water, or place it in a small bain-marie on top of the stirrer.

Yes, placement on the mixing jar is not helpful, but on the stirring platform, it should be fine.

Just position a nice little propane torch to blow flame on your beaker while the mixture stirs

Actually, I bought a heated stirrer. It didn't cost much. It doesn't monitor the temperature, though.
