  • The old 1.35v mercury px625 batteries are no longer available. There is a modern equivalent px625 replacement battery, made as far as I can tell exclusively by wein but they aren’t especially cheap. The advantage they do have is that they are the correct 1.35v. LR44 batteries can be used but at 1.5+v they are often likely to throw the meter off your camera because most of them didn't have any compensating circuitry due to the fact that the mercury batteries' voltage was very stable and constant. It is not the case with lithium or alkaline batteries. This can be corrected by applying exposure compensation, but that isn’t always a practical solution!

Welcome to APUG.

It's generally considered bad form here to include an eBay link in the first entry of a classified ad. For most typical used items offered by non-commercial sellers, users offer them here in the classifieds first, and if they don't sell after a week or two, they may auction them on eBay or elsewhere and it's ok to include a link to the auction in the comments to the original ad.

If you would like to offer these adapter rings directly on APUG, which I take it are something you manufacture yourself for very modest commercial gain, I'm sure you'll find some takers and you'll get less flak from the membership.

Looks like a nice item. I've rigged up the 675 cells for light meters and Olympus OM-1s, they work. At $5 for a set of three that's a no brainer! Good luck.

My apologies. Yes I make those and they are available.
Is there a more appropriate venue or section that i can post this information
for everyone to see.

Post it here, just without making purchasers go through eBay.

You can post some photos of the product, specs, and the price, and how you plan to handle shipping, and people will usually contact you via PM here on APUG or e-mail, if you have your e-mail link in your profile, and you can handle the transactions via PM or e-mail, as is convenient.

You won't have to worry about eBay fees, but bear in mind that transactions that take place through the APUG classifieds are just private arrangements made between individuals, and if there are problems, APUG can't offer any protections like eBay or PayPal, but we'll often try to help sort things out where we can, in the rare cases where transactions don't work out properly.

Sellers are encouraged to make a small donation, on the order of 3%, if a sale goes well, but it's not required. In a case like this, with a low-cost item, you might chip in a few bucks every five sales or something like that, if you make that many.
