Make the trip to Reading and buy proper print developer, it`ll save you paper and a lot of disappointment.

That's an awfull use of a -hopefully temporarily- discontinued developer! But you gotta do what you gotta do!

its ok, went and got the last 500ml of PQ Universal in Reading........

Aculux 2 was my favourite too

Anyone have any news on the alleged reappearance of this dev?

I went through a let's see what film developers work with paper after trying Rodinal as a print developer. Boy, a lot of em sure are bad! I remember getting some really wild print colors-I think I tried Acufine with Seagul G.

If you must use it, add a dollop of washing soda to the mix if you want black black.

been looking around for news on Aculux 2, can't find a thing. Patersons web site hasn't been updated for a while...
