Acros & PyroHD semi-stand recipes?

Anyone use a semi-stand w/ Acros & Pyro HD? Massive dev shows only a recipe for EI 50.

Neopan 100 Acros Pyrocat-HD 1+1+250 (ei)50 (35mm)40 (120)40 (sheet)40 68F

Anyone else have experience here?
 
I used this combo way back and got very uneven development. ..maybe you will have better experience. ..this was with 120 film

Are you interested in more compensating affects or more acute edge affects? If neither, I'd go with just developing normally in Pyrocat-HD. I'll throw another tempting bone out there to chew on and that's two-bath Pyrocat-HD.
 
I think Pyro is good enough on it's own...
And so is acros....as Fred Picker would say
"Try it and find out yourself"...no substitute for the practical and with analog photography we can do that...this is NOT A COMMENT ON YOU BUT IN GENERAL PEOPLE JUST WANT A QUICK FIX AND ARE NOT WILLING TO DO THE WORK.
 
I would not dilute Pyrocat-HD beyond the 1:1:150 number, I found anything beyond that was not worth it. I have done a lot of Acros 120 with Divided Pyrocat and that is beautiful especially for high contrast scenes like beach etc. There is an article on the webpage pyrocat-hd.com all about 2 Bath. I also really like Acros with Pyrocat-MC at 1:1:100 but only agitating once every three minutes.
 
Now that's interesting! My Pyrocat of choice is Pyrocat-MC also, at the same dilution, but with agitation once every two minutes. Once every three minutes might be interesting, but for me "if it ain't broke I ain't gunna fix it". That's a quote from me and not Fred.
 
I sure can't complain about the regular dilution & agitation w/ Acros. I have wonderful impressions of 1:1:240 (thank you, Andrew) with FP4, Delta 100, and especially HP5. Was wanting to see its potential w/ Across.

I've not yet done divided Pyro, but I must admit I'm quite curious. I've gone through 2 of SandyK's write-ups more than once on the process & it sounds awfully good.

When I noticed data for 'N-1' or 'N+1' with TriX, HP5 in HC-110 (Barnbaum) seemed to be only a difference of about +/- 10-15%. If the EI50 data is for 40 min. Would it be a reasonable guess to think that N+1 (EI 100) would have a chance at about 44-46 min?
 
for acros, I shoot it at 80. then use 14 min it pyro-mc/hdc. agitate for first 30 seconds then 2 inversions over 10 seconds at 4 min, 8 min and 12 min. for me that's about as close as Ill get to stand development.

if your looking for higher accutance, give it a shot with beutler. it gives higher accutance than pyro-hd and is only 3 ingredients making it easy to mix yourself. but either way, acros looks great in both
 
14 min. sounds like regular dilution (1:1:100). 'Haven't tried beutler.

yeh, sorry for forgetting that. it is at 68. but run a test to make sure it works for you before using important shots

yeh its regular dilution. I have never tried another as regular has worked great for me. I try to keep it as simple as possible. just one less thing to worry about

Semi stand has different meanings for different photographers.
I call this semi-stand but it is similar to destroya above:
EI 100 Acros (IIIc/f 50mm f2.5 Skopar)
Pyrocat HD 1:1:100
15mins at 68F with 3min pre-soak (but not precious about temperature a couple of degrees either way on this developer)
Agitation for 1st min then three turns at 4,8,12 mins (and yes three turns at 4 after 3 mins standing from initial 1 min)

Not sure what you are hoping to achieve by further diluting and presumably standing for longer, like many others it's hard to see you can improve further on the quality of the combination, the negatives look like they were shot on 120, this is 35mm.

There is a point past which a developer can be diluted and still produce good and consistent results. Certainly at 1+250 you have exceeded that limit with ANY developer. At this dilution you are asking for mottling, loss of contrast. loss of effective speed, etc. etc, etc.
