Hi,

I have about 20 boxes of Acros 11x14 films here in the states. This was a part of special order taken place in Japan.

It is a box of 10 sheets with expiration date of 2011/4. $135/box plus shipping.

Let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

Yes Nick...11x14 is becoming a very expensive format to use....imagine the costs for 12x20 and up....

People spend more to get less all the time. Acros is a special film...if it were my sweetheart I'd find a way to make it happen, but that's me.

Good luck with the sale. Speaking of odd formats, does Acros make 8x20 film?

Hi everyone,

This is not a typical production line items, so it is a little pricey. Frankly, I am surprised that they actually did it.

I never heard of other formats so far. I will investigate when I go to Japan in May!

Warmly,

Lets look at this situation pragmatically for a change of pace.

Film is manufactured in master rolls 3 meters wide and roughly 100 meters long.

What we are talking about here are incremental costs for cutting the master roll in 11x14 along with the costs of packaging.

The manufactures of this film are extorting the shooters of this format because they do not want to be bothered cutting it. Those that "want" it are required to throw enough money at them to get them to come around. It is most unfortunate.

The costs of sheet film should be market predictable as was the case recently with Efke in 8x20. I was told by the manufacturers sales rep that the cost of 8x20 Efke is 2X the cost of 8x10 - period.

The price should be close to this multiple. I would bet that a sheet of 8x10 Across does not cost 1/2 of the $13.50/sheet that they are changing for 11x14.

Just my $0.02.

I stand corrected. I checked on the smaller format prices of this sheet film and Fuji is simply a high priced product and the 11x14 film is in line with their product valuations.

It's a case of having been spoiled with some Efke 11x14" - I have about 100 sheets for $200 or so - yes it's near expiry and not Acros but perhaps compare the price to the fresh 11x14" Provia from Badger Graphics.

Anyway, sorry to dump on this classified - just saying I'd be in there if I had the cash ...
