Hi, my name is Robert, and I'm a music producer. I recently acquired a Sears KS Super 2 and I'm waiting on my batteries and film to arrive, it appears to be in perfect condition aside from a fingerprint on the stock lens, I also got a macro lens. I love macros, black and white, nature, and architectural photography.

Welcome aboard. Sometimes those old cameras need a little TLC to get working properly. Don't set your hopes too high on the first roll of film.

Welcome,

You should get good use out of your camera, they are fairly decent. I have my Grandfather's old Sears KS-2 (basically a rebranded Ricoh XR-7), and it should be similar to yours.

Here is a page for some cross-referencing:

The only bad issue I've had with my camera is the foam seals degraded, causing a light-leak, and also jamming the shutter. Basically, a tiny spec of sticky foam would get on the shutter, causing it to stick. After a while it would dry and start working again.

I carefully cleaned out the old foam and replaced the seals with yarn and felt, and everything has been fine.
