Hi All,

I just wanted to make sure everyone sees this and it's not lost in the other main bug report thread.

There is a lot of new feedback to go through after the upgrade, and from what I see all of it can be addressed in the coming days and I'll keep at it. So, hang in there, the days after a major update can be annoying.

Some might be thinking "what was wrong with the old site?". Well, quite a lot. The software was no longer supported or patched for security. It also required older server software, again not recommended and potential security issues. It is always a game to keep one step ahead or not fall too far behind.

Also, we had many functions broken on the old site from a user and admin perspective. Just a couple new functions we can get going again very soon:

ignore threads
ignore specific forums
greater private message functionality
greater compatibility with search engines and sharing
better options for a new portfolios system to be built
improved social groups
improved performance
expanded spam tools and moderation tools we have desperately needed
the list is much longer than this

We can adjust the site as you wish and it will get there in the coming days, so thanks for your patience.

Ok back to it.

Sean

You and your team are doing a great job. Seems like a relatively smooth transition… a testament to your planning and skills!

Thanks Brian! I know it's annoying for some, but it's important to me that we keep ahead of the software curve. We have an important archive of data that I prefer to remain on updated and secure software. Also, the new backend admin, moderation tools are going to be a dream for us.

I was aware this was coming, still I was a little anxious without the forum. Good work!
Best, Mike

We are close to having most of the original functionality back, I think a couple more days and we'll be pretty solid. Thanks for your patience, I know there is some annoyance waiting on kinks to be ironed out. Almost there
