Hello y'all
After watching Simon's utak's video on swirly lenses, I decided to hunt down the QBM mount Schneider 50 1.8 for Rollei SL35. I bought an SL35 that came with the lens (since I do like shooting film). Unfortunately the camera has issues and will need repair, but that aside, the main reason I got this particular listing was the tinting of the lens. Every picture of the SL-Xenon I have seen online has had the lens painted fully black, but this particular copy has a more bronze tint for the front half (see attached picture from the camera listing). I was just wondering if you folk know if this is a variant of the lens?? Or are these common place and I just never saw a good photo?

If it helps the serial number of my copy is 12181567 and it does say Made in Germany on the lens barrel too. Thanks for any insight!

The anodized coating of the focus ring appears to have been damaged by extreme heat or prolonged UV exposure. Are the lens elements OK?

Ah yea was wondering if maybe it was just sunlight but it is a very even paint so I assumed unlikely. And yeah the elements seem fine though the front element has a fair few 'cleaning marks' on it
