Hello y'all
After watching Simon's utak's video on swirly lenses, I decided to hunt down the QBM mount Schneider 50 1.8 for Rollei SL35. I bought an SL35 that came with the lens (since I do like shooting film). Unfortunately the camera has issues and will need repair, but that aside, the main reason I got this particular listing was the tinting of the lens. Every picture of the SL-Xenon I have seen online has had the lens painted fully black, but this particular copy has a more bronze tint for the front half (see attached picture from the camera listing). I was just wondering if you folk know if this is a variant of the lens?? Or are these common place and I just never saw a good photo?
If it helps the serial number of my copy is 12181567 and it does say Made in Germany on the lens barrel too. Thanks for any insight!
