A picture a day

the dish looks good!
I am doing the same, ignore the cold out (2F=-18C) and no snow photo today,
instead , a shot from summer 25,
a shot

Nice tones in all these black and whites, and Koraks has skill in making compositions out of unexpected things.

I have been doing a bellows repair with T-7000 fabric glue and conditioning with neetsfoot oil. I think they've been drying out since the 60s, seems impossible to get oil to pool on the surface. They had 6 pinholes that showed at full extension, but I decided to do all the corners preemptively.

Thanks! The world is full of compositions. The trick is to point the camera correctly. I feel I've not really figured out that part, though.

Btw, I love how this here juxtaposes currently on the sidebar:

Similar here, I just got stuck twice, not too badly though.

Make that 3 times stuck in the snow yesterday.

Added light sealing and started wood staining back of DIY camera, also mounted a cold shoe in preparation for the viewfinder. The film back also had extra light sealing added around the connection point as well as the spot where the two parts of plastic pipe connect for the lens mount. Probably will also hit it with some linseed oil before I screw the film back on.

The picture before my phone died of cold!

My wife and I had coffee today with two friends of ours. Gary brought along the camera he just finished restoring for his use and collection.
This has to be one of the prettiest Fujica Super 6 I've seen!
He does wonderful work - both inside the camera and the exterior as well!
He did say it was in great shape when he got it.

That's beautiful. I had something similar, but nothing like this!

The bellows is a replacement one he sourced and then installed. All the rest was a true CLA.
Watching him work on a camera is like watching a talented musician play his instrument of choice!

Nice, goodness we have been spared much of this so far this season. I hope you are inside and warm now.

Thanks! I'm actually about to go out again on the snowy trail for a lens/camera test.

Even the camera needed a jacket!
