A picture a day

@jlin 86 was when I was born. You may have met my mother if you talked to any psychology students.

Wild turkey feather from the woods nearby.

,I was in "main campus" most of the time, the place medical school used to be. Love the feather, a classmate from the area took me to turkey hunt around this time of the year. Is there still regulations about bow hunting first and guns later? Beautiful woods but I was not invited again, I think I slowed them down or made too much noise...

ok, should post something too. Happening last weekend, our Head of the Charles Regatta. Sorry about the sensor dust.

Seen during a walk this morning through a park near the older section of Ladner.
It was sitting there all alone and apparently unwanted.
And of course all the dog walkers and the like who saw me probably wondered what that strange guy was doing - the one crouching down in the play area and contorting himself to get his cel phone down close to the ground and level!
I think it should be titled "Abandonment":

Did it have a parking ticket?

It tells the story.

In our city, public parking spots are free - no meters or parking charges permitted under the bylaw
On a warm summer morning that playground would have been thronged by little kids, with clothes and toys that fit well with that car's colour palette!

Thanks for posting! I like this thread because it's more about regular updates than the best-of-the-best. So I feel I can post anything here. I haven't been on any turkey hunts but my neighbor, a hunter and fisherman, gives me plenty of deer, salmon, and walleye.

@MattKing your autumn colors in BC aren't far from ours near Ontario - still no real hard freeze yet to shock the leaves.

We don't usually get much of a hard freeze around this part of BC.
The palm trees that are planted in the road median wouldn't much like that .

We had nice skies a few days ago. The iPhone 11's secondary ultrawide lens is good for that. I believe it's around a 14mm equivalent. (I probably should rotate the horizon a little though).

Commuting shot, on my walk home.

Spent the last two days losing and then finding my wallet over grueling elevation changes, among other simultaneous challenges. Oh brother. Sometimes it just can't be easy.

The phrase "between a rock and a hard place" comes to mind ........
