Hello everyone,
for a couple of years now, I've been exchanging (almost) daily photos with my best friend who lives abroad. I've found it to be a great way to share little slices of life and stay connected. I though it'd be nice to catch glimpses of members' everyday lives. Feel free to share photos and reflections, ramblings, experiments, etc.

This one is from yesterday as I was waiting for a bus. Oddly enough, as much as I love black and white, converting it didn't work this time.

Looks fine where it is!

Banana husk. This plant sits in my darkroom/workspace/home office. I prefer to allow the dead leaves to remain on the plant, where they crate these interesting textures.

I can see this done digitally but analog would be a challenge.

The new TLR which was taken out for its first shoot today, along with 3d printed double lens hood!

Fell asleep while “stand developing” so two and a half hours later got some hardcore contrast but the point was a fun day with some stonemasons

A frame from a test roll in my new-to-me Minolta Miniflex. Testing for sharpness of the taking lens and collimation of the viewing lens. Rokkors rule! (HP5 in HC-110)

PS: great idea, Daniela!

Cat in the cafe on my way to the darkroom today. She turned so many heads! I don’t know if it’s up to code but it made my afternoon.

Thank you everyone for the contributions! This is exactly what I intended: a mixture of mundane, experiments, the unexpected, etc.

This is from today's much needed (and short-lived) sunny weather

A very comfortable thread this one!

Here’s a different type of thread attached to the Kodak Retina, with knots tied at 2.8 feet, 3 feet and 4 feet to help with some close up - wide open snaps. Inspired by others on Photrio… Might work!

Playing around with a "movie" filter on this random façade I encountered today

This caught my eye today. Got me thinking it might be nice to contact print some 6x6 negatives and had never considered doing it. I presume that’s what the small size was for?

Here's a big pile of snow made by the plows at the grocery store. These big ones can sometimes last into May before melting fully.

My current batch of homemade sauerkraut, beside a cabbage head I'm considering for the next batch.
The top is off the glass fermentation container I'm using in anticipation of my daily stir of the batch, and to display the result better.
Another week I think, before this batch may be transferred to smaller jars, and put into the fridge.

This morning - cold, but not like recycling day!

That's excellent!

My current batch of homemade sauerkraut

I'm tempted to post the jars of kimchi in the kitchen. Although I should really eat them, not post them. There's also a jar of sauerkraut I made from Brussels sprouts, but I'm not sure if that's going to be a success.

My morning coffee is on the weak side

I love good homemade sauerkraut. I almost went with a food topic for the next MSA - I hope somebody else does that one soon.

Recently I cooked cabbage in a cast iron pan using the flavor and drippings of Italian sausages that had just been cooked there. It was delicious.

@koraks, is that coffee? It looks like hibiscus tea.

A cup waiting to be filled.
