A new page put up today on how to front mount a Packard onto some of the bigger barrel lenses.
http://tonopahpictures.0catch.com/PackardShutters/PackardShutterFrontMount.html
The lens is a Pinkham & Smith 12" and the Packard is a #6 size 6 1/2" with 3 1/2" aperture hole. There's a You Tube link on my page to hear a Packard in action. They can get a steady 1/20th second.
My take-away? Stupid telephone pictures are inconsistent. The phone and computer automatically flips them 'up' but the code in the page opened them sideways. Had to google and figure out what to do and change a bunch of html. That's how we learn. That Packard fits on that lens like a glove.
