Hoffy... I'm on the job! Fortunately my darkroom is ready for me... Sigh... Just getting into it to do something these days seems to be an opportunity too far! Nevertheless, I'll be ready! If not to dazzle but just to be there with the others... Accepting bookings for rounds 13 & 14? Count me in... Take care and thanks for your involvement - Fred

Hello all... I'm "dun rockin dem damn dishes" for round 12! Someone has to be "first cab off the rank" - this time, it might as well be me! So, Hoffy expect some mail coming your way shortly. I'm early (on time?) because I need to attend to some health issues starting Aug 3rd which, in all probability, will slow me down for a while. It's been very cold in the darkroom too... and that is saying something about the recent weather here on the Gold Coast! Humph! So much for this being the OZ sunshine holiday destnation. Amazing the chemistry isn't completely inert! Take care...

Close, but no banana! Some one else has beaten you to the punch, as one packet arrived on my doorstep during the week! Good to see we have some coming in.

As for me, I have bought some new developer, but I still have some rolls I want to process before I decide on a print. Hopefully next weekend I can get in the dark.

Well, that put paid to that! So, forget the silver... I've got to go for gold - next time! Maybe...:D

Nige...There are some who want us to believe a 1 degree change will destroy our world and humanity completely! So, hats off to the resilient Southerners... How do you do it?

OK, time to check in for a progress update.

I have to admit I have been a bit slack. This weekend I had intended to print, but have been feeling under the weather, so I let it slide. My biggest hassle is that the next 2 weekends are rather full.....so that only leaves the last weekend of the month.

How are the rest of you going?

Morning Peeps,

OK, just wanted to get back on this thread.

Our honorary Aussie from accross the Pacific, Bob, has sent his prints, but alas, it appears that Dr C has had to pull out..... If anyone who is no signed up for this wants to fill the spot, please let me know ASAP. We could extend the deadline to accommodate.

Cheers

Pressed by having to get things done before I fly away for a bit, my prints will be in the post in a few minutes (so you should get them tomorrow or the day after Ash)! I think my prints this round are more of 'time & location interest' than technically great (in today's light, I think they could have been printed a bit darker, for one), but I await comments and everyone else's prints with glee for a treat when I get back.

Marc!

Damn I'd love to. Ash will look into the feasibility of contact printing on the floor of the garage late at night. My prints most certainly not going to be 8x10.

Will give update tomorrow. I'll look into this tonight as I need a break from everything.

Reluctantly I have to say I can't pull it off.

I could not find my fixer, that was easyily 'fixed' (no pun intended) by buying some from the camera shop at the end of the street. Then last night I looked through all the boxes I have in the garage and find my contact sheet panes of glass are broken. I'll not have time till Sept to go and buy some more.

The plus side for me is that I have now developed 2 out of my 10 rolls of film, and I'll keep going till they are all done.

Well, mine are done. I met my own deadline. I'll just need to fill out the sheet and print it at work tomorrow and its all ready to be included.

Including mine, I have 6 peoples prints in the house. Nige should be coming soon, so if that arrives, we would still be 3 people outstanding (remembering that Dr C has dropped out.)

I'll send some messages later today/tonight.

I hope to have the prints ready next week and mail them to you.

Edit: BTW. I should send nine prints now, don't I?

My prints arrived already!?! The postal system worked faster this time than last time. Now I anxiously await the arrival of everyone's prints.

On another note, my basement reno is progressing. I've been thinking of taking over part of the furnace room for a very small darkroom. I've been exploring designs for a vertical tank with 5 individual compartments for paper development. This would reduce the footprint of five 16x20 trays to 21x6!
