Hi all, I'm Yannick and i'm writing from Strasbourg, in france. I tak epictures since more than 30 years now . Actually I still have more pleasure using analgoc material than my digital reflex. I use all sizes and all kind of materials: rangefinder and reflex in 35mm, TLR in MF, 9X12 and 4X5 (but very little LF). The best negative size for me is the 6*6 in TLR.
I had a Flexaret VII. Very nice lens with beautiful scale of grey, and very beautiful camera too. But the finder is quite dim, so I went to a yashica 635 with a perfect viewfinder. But as the lens is a triplet, even when i closed down the aperture the angles were very soft, so now I have a ricohmatic 225 and this is just PERFECT for me.
Bienvenue a Photrio Yannick! I first joined here (back when it was APUG) in 2007 while I was living in Nancy (Lorraine) - it's nice to see someone here from my old neck of the woods (I only lived there for 2 years though). I too, prefer shooting with a TLR - my favourite has always been the Minolta Autocord, but I've been shooting with a Rolleiflex for a few now and have to admit that it has become a new favourite.
