At f: 3.4, this 250mm Wollaston Meniscus should make the wet plate folks a bit happier...

It's based on my larger 84mm diameter lens barrel with 82mm filter threads.
The flange diameter is 110mm (4-3/8").
If I truncate the flange, it will fit a 3-7/8" lensboard.

The price is the same as my 335 & 500mm lenses: $90.00 + shipping.
...and includes the usual five stop cards, a cleaning cloth and mounting screws.

If you've just got to have a shutter, front mounted #6 Packards are available.
See a #6 Packard video here:

Hello,
Your Youtube link is broken

This lens covers full-plate easily and makes a great portrait lens for half-plate collodion shooters.
It's a sweet length for 5x7 film folks.

I was asked about the size of the image circle when this lens is used for portarait work.
To find out, I put it on my 8x20 and focused at 10' (3 meters) and 40" (1 meter).
I then measured the image circles on the ground glass.
The numbers (18" and 21" diameters) are shown on the data sheet...
