Serious as a heart attack. And it is Rodenstock quality. These little Caltar IIE were also known as Rodenstock Geronar.


They are a triplet design, yes, like a Cooke triplet. This one is spotless. Perfect. Shutter runs perfectly.


Note that the shutter is one of the Polaroid industrial models. Also note that the lens advertises f6.8 but the first number on the aperture on the Copal is F8. That's because these little industrial Copals are limited and can only get to a maximum of f8 with this lens. The aperture scale is totally accurate.


This would be the perfect lens for a beginner. Everything about it is accurate, so less guessing on what the heck you're doing wrong. You can rule out the lens and the shutter. Look elsewhere. $144 + $5.99 shipping in USA. More to other lands.

or $40.95 for Express with tracking. The $13.95 does not have any way to track. Seems brutal to ship to Aus these days. Seems we're being punished doesn't it?

Does this lens cover 5x7? I just happen to be looking for something in the 210mm - 240mm range that'll cover 5x7
