I was able to acquire a NOS Horseman VH-R in the box, still in plastic wrap, with a manual and with a 105 f3.5 lens. The original dealer was Calumet Photo Supply. I remember them from way back when. The camera and all components are pristine. There are still two yellow Japan inspection stickers on the body. The only back included is a ground glass focusing screen. I've got four roll film backs, 6x7 and 6x9, two of each. Shooting a single frame requires several steps, unlike a 35mm auto everything camera. For focusing, there is the groundglass back, manual setting with the distance scale, and the rangefinder. This is going to be an interesting learning experience.

Does is have a focusing cam for the 105/3.5? If it NOS then I assume it would. With that you can use it like a press camera.

Alternatively you can use the ground glass and you basically have a medium-format view camera.

There is a holder inside the body for the cams. Check to see if there are more there.

I got my VH-R system about 15 years ago. Back then no one wanted this stuff. The lenses were pretty cheap.

I'm sure the prices have gone up over the last 15 years, but they are still fairly cheap. I have most of the focal lengths and the most I paid over the last 5 years was about $150. Many were under $100.

I love the fact that the lenses on this system mostly show their actual image circle on the trim ring (120mm IC for the 75mm lens):

It came equipped with a mounted 105 f3.5 with the correct cam

Congrats! A friend of mine has one of these. His rationale was that he'd like to work with movements, but also wanted the convenience and affordability of roll film. I got to play briefly with his Horseman and I was impressed at how precise and smooth everything felt. Very nice indeed. Have fun with yours!
