A few Rolleiflex Automat model 4 Minolta filter and hood

I got a cheap one from Marketplace.
Came with a yellow filter and hood but minolta?
Was that mount a standard for minolta cameras as well?

Yes, many Japanese TLRs use Bayonet I. Minolta Autocord, Yashica, Ricohflex, Walzflex, Toyocaflex... Not all models, though.

If you want to use the fastest speed on these older Compur shutters you must set the speed before cocking, which means before winding.

Rolleiflex Automat uses Rollei Bay 1 filters and hood, which is widely adopted by many TLR manufacturers (e.g. Yashica, Minolta, etc)

The shutter of your camera needs a CLA, and Automats are not easy for beginners. Better leave it to professionals.

Great info. It works now. Thank you. Now I just have to find somebody to CLA it.
So using that hood will not vignette?

Another question: I like planar and I have a later model but with light meter which is bigger and heavier. Is there a planar model but without the meter?

The hood should be fine.

Yes, the later models are heavier. I had a 3,5 E3 without light meter and I didn't notice any weight difference compared to my 3,5 F. I like the early Automat models for their lighter weight, and the Tessar and Xenar lenses are excellent.

I hope someone can recommend you a repairman in the US. I'm in Sweden and haven't had a Rollei serviced in a long time.
