A Different Take on Photography Ban

I have just returned from a tour over Europe on by motorcycle a week ago and actually went through Bergun. No where did I see any signs prohibitig photography of any sort. To be honest, the more popular Swiss towns and villages, Interlaken and Grindelwald to name just two are so busy that getting a decent image of any merit is virtually impossible there are so many people milling around.
It is most unlike the Swiss to be so techy about photographs and I cannot see this lasting or even being rigidly enforced as it will only surely damage their income during the tourist season.

As if Bergün is the only place on earth to visit! I didn't know its existence until I read this. A joke indeed!

It's digital photography that banned. As long as you are prepared to open the camera back and proof it is film then you are OK. They will confiscate film only if its Kodachrome. The Swiss have avoided wars for centuries and they have no intention of allowing anything that starts fights

Bergün is a beautiful town and the area is breath taking. Barring digital photography is a breathe of fresh air.

OK, this "sucker" will bite. Why do they only confiscate Kodachrome film?......Regards!

Because Kodachrome gives those muddy colored skies that I learned to hate in the 1960's.

Just my little joke. The benefits or otherwise of Kodachrome seems to start fights on APUG and the Swiss value their peace and neutrality so ban the use of this film. I believe that even threads on APUG advocating petitioning Kodak to revive Kodachrome are banned in Bergün

Those signs were intended by the municipality to stirr interest in that town and have been taken off after some days.
