As discussd yesterday at our print showing get-together, a day out shooting in December would be good so any suggestions of where to go and on which date?

One of the locations discussed was St Annes Park and maybe then over to the Bull Island for a few dune shots. Martin might know, is there aywhere in St Annes for a spot of lunch when were finished ?

St. Annes Park and Bull Island sounds like a good idea to me.

I'm all for St. Anns park as it is probably easy for everyone to get to. And with a coffee shop we can get some tea and a bite to eat. There are some good shots to be had like the clock tower and the folly. I'm sure the bull will hold some surprises as well......Brian

Hi all; I've never snapped in St Anne's but I drive past it most days of the week and I've often noticed really nice light through the trees early in the morning. December could work really well if conditions are favourable.

Another location might be Fr Collin's Park. This is a really good example of a modern community space adjacent to Clongriffin Dart Station. See Flickr for ideas.

It also has good parking and is a short drive to St Doulagh's Church, Broadmeadows Estuary, Malahide Castle, Malahide Sheebeens, Portmarnock Strand, Howth, Howth Sheebeens, etc...

Hi guys, I wont make the outing, club awards night on the 10th so I'll never earn enough brownie points to be out on a Friday night and a Saturday, if anything changes I'll let you know, sounds good all the same.

How about we vote for one of the following dates? 4th, 11th or 18th.

My preference would be for the 11th but I could still do any of these dates so will go with the majority vote.

The 4th and 18th would suit me, but dont mind if it's on the 11th, I'll make the next, I'm looking for some advice on a light meter but I can wait, Paul.

Peter I vote for the 11th, and hold the 18th in reserve in case the weather forces us to cancel 11th.

What time will we meet on Saturday? I can be there any time.

Maybe Martin can suggest a time as he is our guide

Oh and Martin, you might also let us know where we can meet (as in where best to park? etc).

Looks like the weather should be decent enough too.
