My last can of ink dried to a hockey puck well before I could put much of a dent in it. I just transferred a pound of Charbonell into
these empty oil paint tubes. It was a messy gig, but I figure I have a lifetime supply of ink for me and about ten other people now!
If you try this, grab a couple empty toilet paper roll tubes, slit them lengthwise and make a tube that the paint tubes will fit in and stand up (you might need 2 tubes for height). The fold a little painter's tape over the paper tube and into the aluminum paint tube - holds the tube upright and keeps ink from sliding down the side. Wear gloves, spread out newspaper, and have plenty of solvent and paper towels for cleanup!
