I usually defend Leica against accusations of being over-priced, but ...
... today I wanted a couple of new 39 mm UV filters. Genuine Leica £61 each (admittedly with free shipping from Hong Kong), B+W (normally regarded as top quality) from Germany £24 each (plus £14 for shipping for 2 filters). Pricing stuff the way Leica does here is pointless and just annoys people!
