This is similar in size, design, and function to other f/8 90s (Schneider Super-Angulon, Fujinon-SW, Nikkor-SW). Unusually, it seems to have been factory mounted in this Copal 1 shutter with a pair of nicely machined and finished adapters; it does not inhabit the usual Copal 0 used by Schneider, Fuji, and Nikon for their 90s. And unlike nearly all Ilex 90s I've seen, this one has 67mm filter threads! I suspect it's a late-production version made by Ilex in response to user complaints about the difficulty of using filters on their lenses. Ilex's documentation gives a 215mm image circle at f/22 and infinity so it'll cover 4x5 easily and 5x7 with minimal movements.

The shutter sounds about right at all speeds when compared with other known-good shutters. 67mm filters screw in smoothly. Retaining ring and caps are included. Cosmetics are generally good, with a few external scuffs and marks on the housings. Glass is clean and clear as far as I can tell with no obvious marks. Asking $160 shipped.

I had one of those some years back, I have a similar Fuji f8/90mm these days, can't tell the difference in performance looking at prints from the Ilex vs new(er) Fuji.
My avatar was shot with the 90mm Ilex.

What an interesting lens. I assume this was late Ilex production. I recall that Ilex made shutters, but yet this is a Copal shutter. Regardless, it's a nice item and probably excellent optical quality.
