Well see how this works. This is an stl 3D print file I whipped up for a single sheet 8x10 tank for developing hanger. It's big and odd looking, maybe absurd. But it works great on X-ray film and Rodinal 1:100. Doesn't take up the space of trays, and no scratching of the film. But I suppose it will do fine for D-23 or other. Takes 800ml of liquid, so that works out to 8ml of Rodinal, which is a bit wasteful, but not too bad. Maybe you could put some sticks or tape aross it and have enough developer capacity to do a 4x5 hanger after the 8x10,before throwing it out. It's kind of skinny, but you can stick a little funnel in it and spread the sides with it a little, to pour the developer in. Can't print this on an Ender 3, but I also have a Neptune 4 Max. Don't drop your thermometer in it because I doubt you can fish it out, when filled. I didn't have the presence of mind to design a thermometer compartment in it, or some sort of on-board funnel. This is what it looks like in Prusa viewer. Somebody please report back if you can download and open the zip file containing the stl.

I can download and extract an stl file.
But I lack anything that works with stl files.
I do get an animation out of it.

I downloaded it myself. Looks like it works. I'll go back and do the others, if they are under the 2 meg limit. Thanks

Down oad Prusa viewer and right click the file to open for wiewing. Or download Cura slicer to see it and slice it for printing. Or import it in Freecad Parts workbench

The 3D Viewer that comes with Windows 10 seems to be doing a fine job of showing me a continuously rotating image - sort of a hypnotic take off of an important theme in "2001 - A Space Odyssey". šŸ˜‰
I don't do 3D printing, so I'll leave the rest to those who do.

Thanks for your patience. Too bad this site doesn't have an eletronics dept. I;'e done some of the prettiest vintage ham receiver speakers, repair parts of all kinds, RTR deck parts as well as photographic stuff. I had a house full of broken things, and have cleaned my plate restoring all that. Plastic won't fix everything, but with a little re-designing, you]d be surprised how much strength you can put into a part. Even better than the original. You ought to see my 4 ton Horseman sitting on my surveyors tripos, with the mounting plate I made. It could hold up a dump truck.

That's a cool little widget; I'm going to file that away for future use. Thank you so much for sharing it!

Nice. I can probably build something similar out of plywood/acrylic and epoxy. Is your print water-tight or do you have to seal it? Any plans on publishing the design on Thingiverse?

Will it make sense to add two compartments for a wash (with a larger volume) and fixer? You might need some sort of a flip cover to block the wash and fixer sections so that you do not confuse them in total darkness.

No you don't have to seal it. It's as good as metal or tupperware straight off the printer. Please, let's not make this too elaborate. This Freecad isn't easy already, especially for a guy whose IQ is the same as his age. This is a Win 7 Dell laptop running Linux Mint, because I'm a cheapskate.

So, one would use an old-school metal film hanger in this tank?
