Hi gang, I’ve converted my D5 enlarger to 8x10 with Klaus Lundsgaard’s kit. The kit was intended for a D2 that also was sold with the Super Chromega color head, but it worked fine with my D5. I’m considering changing out the lens stage with one from a D2 but I’m not sure if it will fit. Can anyone with a D2 take a measurement from out to out on the steel shafts that the lens stage is attached to so I can work out if it’s compatible with my D5? My lens stage is pretty small, it’s the one that fits the turret. Seems like it may limit my options for lenses that are long enough for an 8x10 negative. The lens board for the D2 style neg carrier appears to be much bigger than the one I have now so I’m thinking the bottom opening of the bellows will be bigger also. By the way I still intend to use the enlarger for smaller formats…

You should contact KHB Photographix in Toronto. They know more about Omega enlargers than anyone. It'd been 15 years since I worked with D2s and D5s, so I can't offer any advice. But it looks like you're doing a great job!

Thanks. looks Like the D2 lens stage will work. Picked one up today on eBay For cheap. I’ll know for sure soon.
