This is a working camera, not a museum piece. It shows signs of use for its age, but it's functioning well and is ready to be used to make photographs. This is one of the easiest 8x10 cameras to carry around and use. This would be a great 8x10 for restoration or even a great starter camera into the 8x10 format. Edward Weston and Ansel Adams both used a Century Universal 8x10 at one point in their careers if that's worth mentioning

Pros:
- Camera weighs 9lbs 10.5oz (really lightweight for 8x10 format)
- Full movements front and rear: Front rise and fall, swing and shift, rear swing and tilt. It even has some rear rise if you need it. All controls work as they should and lock down tight.
- All knobs loosen and tighten properly
- Folds up nicely so it's easy to transport and actually use
- Bellows extend to almost 29inches and compress to about 2 inches
- Takes a 6x6 inch lensboards that can handle pretty much any 8x10 lens (lensboards are cheap to come by as well)
- Real quick and simple set up. Folds out just like a speed graphic
- You can leapfrog the rear standard onto the bed and then slide it forward for use of wide angle lenses

Cons:
- Bellows have two small pinholes. (this has never affected my images but it's worth mentioning...fabric is still intact inside the bellows and leather is good so if the buyer wanted you can use black artists acrylic paint to use on the cloth inside the bellows to fix the two pinholes and keep the bellows flexible and perfectly usable)

These cameras were manufactured between 1929-1940 and since it's made primarily out of wood and brass it should be handled with care. I'm sure whoever buys this camera will fall in love with it and make many great photographs.

Not sure why the photos didn't show up in my last post but here are some more photos of the camera. The second and third photo show wear the pinholes are (again I've never had a problem with pinholes when I was using this camera)
