I was testing some film the other day and put an 80A filter sitting on the back element of my enlarger lens - easier then taping to the front element.

I had completed my film tests and went to bed. The next day I did a print from a negative I hadn't considered to be all that sharp, however it printed up wonderfully. I had forgotten the 80A filter and simply added a multicontrast filter to the condensor head of my D2, the 80A was out of sight and out of mind.

The image is noticably sharper and the tone of the print appears colder whereas the contrast seems similar.
