8 frames on a Veriwide 100?

Is there any trick to getting all 8th frame on a Brooks Veriwide 100 camera?
The frame counter only goes to 7, but I think there is room on the film for 8 frames.

Yes, there seems to be enough room, but it’s all over the film, at the beginning, at the end and between the frames, so I guess you would have to change the whole transport mechanism, which seems to be rather delicate, so I would not touch it.
