But not easy to find, or inexpensive. All of the Kodak stuff is special order with large minimums. I believe Agfa-Gaevert also makes it, but I haven't found a ready source for it at amateur consumer quantities.

For Kodak, B&H has some under their "special applications" "aerial" category in film. Fairly large and pricey minimums and it will be a special order. Non-refundable, as I recall.

Agfa aerial films at this address;

70mm is in 100' lengths. We (Silverprint) have previously obtained Agfa b&w and colour 70mm in one off quantities, but would need to check if the door is still ajar.
We have one roll of Aviphot Color N400 PE1 70mm in stock. It's dated Jan '07 but has been fridge stored throughout, the price will be good.

Is the 100 foot tri-x 70mm discontinued? Half the time kodak doesn't (or at least didn't) even know what they are selling or not. I used to ask about things and if I didn't talk to the right person, didn't get an accurate answer.

Kodak still makes a fair amount of aerial film (color and B&W) in 70mm. Look at their website (Kodak Aerial) for details. HAS, Images out of Dayton, Ohio, stocks the stuff in the U.S.

B&H certainly still lists the 70mm Tri-X. I have a slightly expired roll I bought on eBay, which makes great 616 film.

But 70mm is surely doomed, since all the "school portrait" cameras it was used in are being scrapped for digital. Olan Mills did a photo directory at our church, and they used a tethered Olympus E1.

Slightly expired Portra 160NC in 46mm and 70mm is a drug on the market on eBay. Sometimes you have to buy several rolls at once.

The Aerial film minimum orders seem to be creeping up to an entire master roll. Practical only for the Military.
