I've been using Thomas safelights for decades, no trouble, I don't open them up full because they're just too darn bright. And of course there's no such thing as a truly safe safelight.
You can get away with a lot more with Fomatone because it's so slow. Hence it also takes longer to fog. Fomaspeed and Fomabrom Variant (VC) are less forgiving.
