600 Fujinon vs. Nikkor

I would like to know if anyone has had the opportunity to directly compare a 600mm Fujinon T to a 600mm Nikkor T-ED and, if so, what they found.

I am interested in the resolution, contrast and color of one vs. the other, not the speed or the dimensions, weight and bulk or the size of the image circle.

Thanks, in advance, for any replies regarding this.

Are these for a stereo camera ? As you've asked twice

Ian

I wish!

I apologize for the double post, I thought I had put the first in the MF forum and, now, I cannot find a way to delete the second one.

APUG times out on editing/deleting quite quickly unfortunarely.

Ironically I am looking at buying an LF Stereo camera as I have a project in mind, that does need matched pairs of lenses

You might look at Kerry Thalmans website he may have tested these lenses, not sure if Chris Perez did or not he's another to check out.

I have searched their sites, but I have not found a comparison. They did do a test on one, but not the other.

If you are starting from scratch, then your bellows could be made to accommodate 600mm, or even longer, lenses and allow you to use the APO-Ronars or the APO-Artars. Those would beat either the Nikkor or the Fujinon T lenses.

Unfortunately, due to the limitation of the bellows extension, I have to use a telephoto to get beyond 520mm, or thereabouts, on my 4x5.
