Hey everyone new to exploring the instant forums, I love Polaroids or at least the camera and also love for the IP film. I know it may seem like a basic question but, in the IP store all the cool flavors are only for 600 like black frame/color frame and the fancy duo colors. So I love to use my sx70 land camera and I would have to use a nd filter to shoot it in the camera versus just regular 100 Iso sx70 film. What is the difference in quality or other factors that make it different or is there not a big difference. Currently want for my order to come in with said nd filters for the 600

How did things turn out for you? I'm in exactly the same boat you were in. I've been shooting the sx70 film but impossible has sold out of it forcing me to order 600 film with the cartridge based neutral density filter. I've read it dulls the colours but I don't honestly see how it could do this. Did you find things worked out for you in the end?

The SX70 has a neutral density filter in front the the electric eye, held in by a ring. The ring can be pried out, the filter removed. That gives 1 stop, then use the L/D control for the second stop. If you have a Polatronic 2350 and the 1.5x Telephoto: the follow-flash will put in the 1-stop for you. I used a Polaroid Sonar with the flash, Telephoto lens, and 600 film for years. Keep a film cover to get the 600 film past the film chamber- the SX70 body is keyed to not load 600 cartridges.
