I fear the young ones with their digital upbringing will disparage the antiquated technology.

Engineers are still engineers and are attracted by bright shiny objects with gears and pulleys, etc. The Cirkut cameras are a bit much for me only because of the size of the apartment I live in, and the number of toys I already own (5 4x5's, 2 5x7's, 2 8x10's, 1 8x20, cameras I'm building, lenses in every nook and cranny, and MF too numerous to count). I've been trying to work out how I'm going to print my 8x20 negs. 6' long negs are (almost) a non-starter. Although I'm now working out how large a kite I'd need for the old, beat-up Korona I haven't used in a while . . .

Len Robertson said:Charlie - I tried to find your email address to tell you about this thread, but I'd lost it. As I recall, you once mentioned starting a Cirkut forum or mailing list. This thread seems to indicate there may be a need for such. Any thoughts?
Len Robertson said:I finally found my APUG password, so I can jump in here. I hope I don't offend anyone by mentioning one of the "other" forums, but we have been having a Cirkut discussion over on photo.net Classic Cameras:

Anyone getting Cirkut fever from seeing Jim's pic might want to give it a read.
