From recent posts on Flickr, the new formula contains 50% more phenidone.
Times reported to be taken from nearly 100 measurements are given by R Hartung:

The N times are mostly quite a lot longer than those given in the massive development chart.
I'm not too sure what is the inversion procedure.
The safe method of mixing it remains controversial, some heat in a water bath , unlike here:

My experience with the old version was that it gives finer grain than Pyrocat HD but stains reels and containers.

I’ve used 510-Pyro often, and like the results, though I do believe it is staining some plastic parts in my developing tanks. I have a bottle that Jay DeFehr sold me what, five years ago? I think it’s probably weakening, though theoretically the TEA would inhibit oxidation, the way glycol does in HC-110. I note that the times on Mr. Hartung’s chart are for agitation every ten minutes, which in my lexicon would be semi-stand, so that may account for the extended times. FYI, if you don’t like the stain, Jay says that mixing some sodium sulphite into the water that you dilute the 510Pyro in will inhibit stain — I think it was 20g per liter, PM me if you want more precise info; I’ve got it in another computer.

Mr. Hartung uses densitometry to get his development times. I am not an expert, but people who say they know a thing or two about densitometry say that stained negatives and densitometry do not go well together. I've asked Mr. Hartung who he conducted his tests, but unfortunately I never got an answer.

510 Pyro seems to be getting more popular. In the UK it is available in 100ml ready made up bottles from Wet Plate Suppllies and from ebay uk.

That's a welcome development as it spares users from having to mix a very toxic ingredient (Pyrogallol) at home and the risk of hot liquid spill.
