50mm Nikkor question

I just got a 50mm f;2 Nikkor LTM. What is the filter size...?

Filter size

It should be a 40.5mm. Easier to find filters and hoods than the Canon 50mm1.8 which is 40mm.

B+W still makes filters in this size. Marumi also and probably others.

You might want to check B&H or Adorama.

I've recently been able to find B+W filters in 40.5 mm easily at B&H.

Lenses that take a 40.5 mm filter usually will also take the Linhof 42mm clamp-on shade and slip-in filters. They came in sets of 4 or 5 filters, usually in a nice leather case that could also hold the shade.
