503 CW discontinued ?

B&H site declares Hassel 503 CW as discontinued.
Does anybody know if that is true ??

Looks like the 503CWD and the 503CW black may have been discontinued (according to the B&H catalog). The chrome is still available from B&H...

Only the black one. They're still showing the chrome body as available by special order.

I guess this would not be wholly surprising. If Hasselblad were going to cut back to the bare essentials, the classic CWchrome is the one that would sell the best of the three...

At this point it's likely that manufacture ceased long ago, and Hasselblad is just shipping remaining bodies from stock.

I had emailed Hasselblad about this a few months ago. They said that they 503CW in chrome will continue in production, though they other bodies were being discontinued. They wanted to keep one "legacy" body in production they said. It could all be marketing crap as well, I don't fully believe email response from companies
