He was a bit better at photography than typing.

Which is kind of funny, given what his first career choice was.

His typing typos always made me laugh!
+1

He clearly had cognitive (very, very high) peaks and (not very low) valleys. Did I once read in a biography that he was diagnosed as "learning disabled"? He was quite obviously differently learning enabled.

Good question. Why do people want autographs? Why do people take photographs? Why would someone even read what someone else writes?

Wearing my moderator's hat, I will just mention that this very interesting question is one of Philosophy - so it deserves a thread in the Ethics and Philosophy sub-forum - not an interruption in someone else's For Sale thread.
If you wish to express gratitude to Barlow for the inspiration for that new philosophical thread, I'm sure a link and reference back to this one would not be objected to! 😉

Good point, the irony was not lost! However, I can read a reproduction of the original, while gaining information. I do not need to have the original to gain the info.

As to why people wAnt autographs , because they can say I met that person, he/she/they/ signed.

A Photograph can be a keep sake, however I initiate the keep sake, I don’t grab, or buy someone else’s.

Reading someone else’s work is really important, I just do not need the original to Comprehend what the person is expressing. I find purchases that make me exclusive owner, not fair!

I’m sure someone could do something amazing, I get to keep the original, but do not show it to anyone? Where is the value? If I do show everyone, hence they have the info, where is the value of having the original?
