Looking to run a 4x5 workshop locally and wonder if people could provide any ideas, suggestions, comments, advice as to what this should include, what works and what doesn't.
Any freely available resources that can be suggested?
Probably run from 4 hours- 1/2 day to full day - not sure yet.

There is a first time for things and ... well this is it for me.

I have an education background so this will hopefully come in handy.

Thank you,

Depends a great deal upon what experience level you're targeting and what experience level shows up for the workshop.

Beginners or people just curious for the experience.
I've been working in large format since 1999.

It's about location and gear if it's to be a workshop for beginners or photographers curious about large format.
Your location should have a high density of worthwhile photographic subjects (that appeal to many photographers), so that schlepping around of large format gear is kept to a minimum. If you've got a lf camera collection that your willing to share for that day out, that'd be ideal. Two participants to a camera, or even a 1:1 ratio would be ideal. All they'd need would be old but functioning Graflexes or something like that. Or you could rent something, or strike a deal with a camera manufacturer or shop.
And don't count on doing photographs that day yourself, you'll be answering questions and jumping from person to person all day long.

Best regards, Christoph
