Does one exist, and where can I buy one?

It might be easier to convert an overhead projector.

Steve.

A few years back I saw one on B&H's website, but it's long since been removed. I want to say it was made by Noblux (Noblex?) but I'm probably way off. They do exist! If all else fails you could find a condenser-head enlarger with a straight column and rig something up there.

4x5 slide projector

Hey,
Just saw your post. I have inherited a 4x5 slide projector from an old friend who passed away. I can give you the specifics, if interested.

Welcome to Apug, i'd love to see photos of the beast

they use them for stage shows--check for the stage lighting equipment--I think that may work if you dull down the light source a bit, but the mechanics should do the job. not cheap better to convert an enlarger condenser set with a bigger projector bulb I'm thinking--just get a fast lens--look for a triplet to take the heat--best lenses are from the old opaque projectors--them were the fastest.
