Hi, i am looking for an enlarger that goes up to 4x5. Black and white or colour. Does anybody have one for sale?

I agree with Ralph, a Durst is really the only good alternative to a De Vere (in Europe), keep your eyes open. Now your a subscriber widen your wanted advert.

5x4 enlargers are around at good prices, a little patience and you'll get what you want.

Hi there,

Ed Bray on the UK analogue website has a pretty tasty De Vere for sale:

Would require a trip down to Plymouth but looks well worth it.

Try to find one of the LPL 4x5 enlargers with either the VCCE or Dichro heads. You can usually find them used very reasonably. Probably the best enlarger made other than a Durst or Devere with great parts availability and service/repair potential, and you won't need all of your friends to help you move it home (just one). I have a 5x7 Durst and 2 4x5 LPL's (4500-II & 4550XLG) and would not trade them for anything (other than maybe another Durst). I actually prefer the smaller LPL over the larger one! Thankfully when I bought my Durst 24 years ago, it came complete with all the goodies needed to use it. My local lab offered to give me a Devere 504 but since it had an inoperative closed loop head I would have to come up with a head for it and decided it just wasn't worth the bother. Finding parts for Durst or Devere can be a real time consuming challenge and you could use that time better photographing or printing instead of scanning the net. L
