For Sale 49mm IR block filter (for astrophotography, Astronomy)

I have six new old stock 49mm Infra Red blocking ("I.R. Block") filters. I bought them believing they'd allow certain blue flowers to actually photograph blue (as seen by the human eye), rather than pink from infra red reflected light. (I used to photograph plant material for nursery catalogs.) Maybe they will work for flower photography, but after purchasing them, I read that they are intended more for astronomical use.

If you are into astronomy, then you probably know more about them than I do. In any event I don't need six of them.

Hi,
That is a very small diameter filter for astrophotography. It might be useful for IR photography though. What is printed on the filter ring?

These filters are, I believe, approximately equal to the IR filter that covers most digital camera sensors. (In my case, I removed same from my Sony to enable IR sensitivity.)

There's no IR energy in any astronomical subject that needs to be blocked.

Certainly stars radiate IR in huge quantities, but by the time it reaches us it's undetectable.

Of course, but solar photography (i.e. eclipses and such) is not considered "astrophotography".
