I have the older model 45MX and the newest as well. The newer (black paint) has the support rods for frame mounted behind it. The older (gray paint) model has the support rods mounted on the front side of the frame. I've seen photos of the oldest model with rods in both places.
Since that chrome tends to reflect some light, I've applied tape to prevent this.
My question is whether that model permits the rods to be mounted in either configuration or did Beseler manufacture them to be first in one position and then eventually the other. I'd like to have the rods behind the frame, but that appears to create an issue with the frame mounting points. I can't tell if that's possible without disassembling and I'd just as soon learn from someone else's knowledge and experience before I tear it apart and find out it will only work one way, and then have to reassemble for naught.
Has anyone changed theirs?
Thanks,
Kenny
