Hi Jon,

I already tried that. Basically when I remove the 1/4 inch socket the whole socket comes out. I think I'll need a seperate part with a 3/8 inch opening. photo-75.JPG

Hi Ashok,

I had the same camera, you are right. You need the completely seperate 3/8 adapter that screws back into that hole. The alternative adapter was passed onto me and likewise when I sold my camera.

The 45Aii is supposed to come with two thread sockets. When you're buying it make sure both are with the package. I just bought the 3/8 inch from macgroupus.com - so my problem is solved.

In the worst case, a machinist can make the part for you (especially since you have the 1/4" insert to use as a pattern). It will likely be a lot more expensive than the mass-produces part, so keep searching for one of those first.
