The long release isolates and vibration from the photographer. The length make it possible for the photographer to be a short distance away from the lens. There is locking ring that converts the cable release into a TIME setting. It can easily be engaged and disengaged.
The cable release performs as intended. The plunger extends and retracts smoothly. The plastic sheave is free of cuts, kinks etc. The tapered threaded portion rotates freely and he threads are clean.
